The Albany, OR Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) population 1/ increased from 103,069 in 20000 to 117,648 in 2013. That was an increase of 14.1 percent.

The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 3,591 in 2000 to 5,184 in 2013. That was an increase of 44.4 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 3.5 percent to 4.4 percent.

The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 13.1 percent.

The first chart below shows the three population change factors for three periods adjusted for annual average amounts. Domestic migration (NDM) was the main factor in population increase for all periods.

The second chart shows the same data but with an adjustment to reflect births to immigrants shifted to NIM. In it, NDM remained the primary factor adding population.
